Exhibitors/Vendors
The IHS, Division of Behavioral Health welcomes arts and crafts vendors and methamphetamine and suicide prevention related exhibitors. There is no charge to approved exhibitors or vendors.
Exhibitors and vendors will be provided with one (1) 6-foot table and two (2) folding chairs on September 1 and 2, 2010. Exhibitors and vendors need to be set up by 6:00 a.m. on September 1, 2010 and must remain up until the end of the event at 5:00 p.m. on September 2, 2010. Set up can begin at 12:00 p.m. on August 31, 2010, and tear-down can begin at 5:00 p.m. on September 2, 2010.
Shipping
Shipments to the hotel will be stored in the Cox Business Center, which is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number for the Cox Business Center is 405-228-8003. There is a handling fee of $30 per package, up to 100 lbs. Shipments should be received by the hotel no earlier than 5 working days (August 25, 2010) prior to the start of the conference.

U.S. Indian Arts and Crafts Act
Anyone applying as an Indian artisan must comply with the The Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 (P.L.101-644), which prohibits misrepresentation in marketing of Indian arts and crafts products within the United States. The Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 is a truth-in-advertising law. It is illegal to offer or display for sale or to sell any art or craft product in a manner that falsely suggests it is Indian-produced, an Indian product, or the product of a particular Indian tribe. Under the Act:
- Indian is defined as a member of a state or federally recognized tribe, or certified Indian artisan.
- Certified Indian artisan means an individual who is certified by the governing body of an Indian tribe as a nonmember Indian artisan.
- Indian product means any art or craft product made by an Indian.
- Indian labor makes the Indian art or craft object an Indian product.

- Indian tribe means: Any federally recognized Indian tribe, band, nation, Alaska Native village, or organized group or community; or
- Any Indian group that has been formally recognized as an Indian tribe by a state legislature or by a state commission or similar organization legislatively vested with state tribal recognition authority.
Exhibitor and Vendor Terms and Conditions
Exhibitors and vendors are held to the Terms and Conditions of this agreement and any organization or individual submitting an application agrees to be bound to all Terms and Conditions. Please make a copy of the completed application for your records.- In accordance with the rules and regulations governing exhibits and vending tables for the 2010 Indian Health Service MSPI Conference on September 1 and 2, 2010 at the Renaissance Hotel, 10 North Broadway, Oklahoma City, OK 73102, the undersigned makes application for exhibit or vending space.
- Exhibit and vending space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There are a limited number of spaces available, and submission of application does not guarantee a space. Kauffman & Associates, Inc. (KAI), and any prime contractor, retain the right to assign and/or change exhibit locations. KAI, and any prime contractor, reserve the right to refuse exhibit space to any applicant whose exhibit is not consistent with the mission of the conference or the rules and regulations of the hotel or any prime contractor.
- Exhibitors and vendors are responsible for any damages to the hotel property, KAI property, or the property of any prime contractor. Neither KAI nor any prime contractor shall be responsible for any damages or losses incurred by exhibitors, including but not limited to theft or accidents.
- Exhibitors and vendors are responsible for arranging all of their logistical and other needs including but not limited to audio-visual equipment and shipping.
In submitting this application, the exhibitor's or vendor's authorized representative:
- Confirms that he or she has read and accepted the Terms and Conditions, which have been incorporated herein and are made a part hereof; and
- Agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to all matters pertaining to liability and risk, in the event this application is accepted by KAI.
